Patients' Interests

Every patient with advanced cancer, we believe, has the right to know if their tumor has genomic alterations. This might aid in treatment planning.

What is Genomic Profiling and How Does It Work?

Genomic profiling is a laboratory test that examines a sample of tumour tissue for specific characteristics that may be driving tumour development, such as gene mutations (changes) or other biomarkers. Information about genomic mutations specific to your cancer could aid doctors in developing therapies that target certain mutations or biomarkers.

You and your doctor will decide if genomic profiling is right for you based on your unique circumstances.

F2C NGS

The F2C NGS test is a rigorous genomic profiling test, meaning it examines your tumour for hundreds of cancer-related gene mutations. The test looks for cancer-related mutations in your tumor's DNA using 500 genes to help you find approved drugs and clinical trial choices that are right for you. The test could also reveal whether you're still on the right treatment plan or whether you need to try something else.

What's the deal with F2C-NGS? Since F2C-NGS has the potential to warn your treatment choices, and it can do so with less tumour tissue and any challenged samples than any other test currently available.

F2C-NGS is a tissue biopsy procedure that is applicable to patients with advanced cancer.

How Does F2C Sample Work?

  1. If possible and medically required, the doctor recommends a test from F2C.
  2. The doctor sends a sample of tumour tissue to our laboratory for examination.
  3. F2C Diagnostics examines a sample of your tumour tissue for cancer-related gene modifications that may aid your doctor in identifying potential treatment options.
  4. We gave your doctor the test results.
  5. You and your doctor talk about the findings and how they will help you get the best possible healthcare for that particular disorders.
